§ 33.1-8. Employees; delegation of responsibilities.

The Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner shall employ an assistantcommissioner for the environment, transportation planning, and regulatoryaffairs and such engineers, clerks, assistants, and other employees as may beneeded, and shall prescribe and fix their duties, including the delegation ofduties and responsibilities conferred or imposed upon the Commissioner bylaw. They shall receive all salaries and expenses as may be fixed inaccordance with the provisions of law.
