§ 33.1-89.2. Additional power to acquire lands, etc., by purchase, gift oreminent domain.

The Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner may use the powers granted inthis title to acquire needed property interests for purposes set out inChapter 10.1 (§ 33.1-391.1 et seq.) of this title. Whenever the term"highway purpose or purposes," "highway project," or "highwayconstruction" appears in this title, it means "highway, passenger andfreight rail or public transportation purposes."
