§ 33.1-426. Virginia Coalfield Coalition Authority created.

The Virginia Coalfield Coalition Authority, hereinafter referred to as "theAuthority," is created as a body corporate and as a political subdivision ofthe Commonwealth. The Authority is hereby constituted a publicinstrumentality exercising public and essential governmental functions, andthe exercise by the Authority of the powers conferred by this chapter shallbe deemed and held to be the performance of an essential governmentalfunction of the Commonwealth.
