§ 36-49.2. Power to purchase or lease land for certain other redevelopmentprojects.

In addition to the other powers to acquire real property by purchase orlease, an authority is specifically empowered to purchase or lease realproperty for immediate or future use, without the exercise of the power ofeminent domain, for improvement and development for sale, lease, or subleaseas industrial sites, scientific research laboratory sites, educationalinstitution sites or sites for housing persons displaced from other lands ofthe authority.
