§ 37.2-308. Data reporting on children and adolescents.

A. The Department shall collect and compile the following data:

1. The total number of licensed and staffed inpatient acute care psychiatricbeds for children under the age of 14 and adolescents ages 14 through 17; and

2. The total number of licensed and staffed residential treatment beds forchildren under the age of 14 and adolescents ages 14 through 17 inresidential facilities licensed pursuant to this title, excluding group homes.

B. The Department shall collect and compile data obtained from the communitypolicy and management team pursuant to subdivision 16 of § 2.2-5206 and eachcommunity services board or behavioral health authority pursuant to §37.2-507 and subdivision 18 of § 37.2-605. The Department shall ensure thatthe data reported is not duplicative.

C. The Department shall report this data on a quarterly basis to the Chairmenof the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees and to the VirginiaCommission on Youth.
