§ 37.2-611. Local appropriations; allocation of funds by Department;reduction of funds.

The city or county that established the authority is authorized to makeappropriations and to provide funds for the operation of the authority and tofurther its purposes. Such appropriations for the authority shall be subjectto the requirements that are applicable to community services boards, as setforth in § 37.2-509. The Department shall allocate available state-controlledfunds to behavioral health authorities for disbursement in accordance withthe provisions that are applicable to community services boards, as set forthin § 37.2-509, and shall notify the governing body of the city or county thatestablished the authority before implementing any reduction ofstate-controlled funds.
