§ 38.2-2124. Optional coverage to be offered with fire insurance policy.

Any insurer that issues or delivers in this Commonwealth a new or renewalcontract or policy of fire insurance, or a new or renewal contract or policyof fire insurance in combination with other insurance coverages, shall offerin writing as an option a provision that property will be repaired orreplaced in accordance with applicable ordinances or laws that regulateconstruction, repair or demolition.
