§ 38.2-2523. Notice of loss and adjustment.

Each policyholder after sustaining loss or damage from any cause specified inthe policy shall notify the mutual assessment property and casualty insurerwithin the time prescribed in the policy. The insurer shall promptly proceedto ascertain and adjust the loss or damage in the manner provided by thepolicy, law and bylaws of the company.
