§ 38.2-4304. Governing body.

A. The governing body of any health maintenance organization may includeproviders of health care services, other individuals, or both, but in noevent shall any class of health care provider be excluded from eligibilityfor membership on the governing body of any health maintenance organization.

B. The governing body shall establish a mechanism to provide the enrolleeswith an opportunity to participate in matters of policy and operation through(i) the establishment of advisory panels, (ii) the use of advisory referendaon major policy decisions, or (iii) the use of other mechanisms.
