§ 4.1-312. Limitation on carrying alcoholic beverages in motor vehicletransporting passengers for hire; penalty.

The transportation of alcoholic beverages in any motor vehicle which is beingused, or is licensed, for the transportation of passengers for hire isprohibited, except when carried in the possession of a passenger who is beingtransported for compensation at the regular rate and fare charged otherpassengers.

Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be guilty of aClass 1 misdemeanor.
