§ 40.1-51.7. Installations, repairs and alterations to conform to rules andregulations; existing installations.

(a) No boiler or pressure vessel which does not conform to the rules andregulations of the Board governing new construction and installation andwhich has been certified by the Board shall be installed or operated in thisCommonwealth after twelve months from July 1, 1973. Prior to such date noboiler or pressure vessel shall be installed and operated unless it is inconformity with the rules and regulations established pursuant to thischapter which were in existence on July 1, 1972.

(b) This chapter shall not be construed as in any way preventing the use,sale or reinstallation of a boiler or pressure vessel constructed prior toJuly 1, 1972, provided it has been made to conform to the rules andregulations of the Board governing existing installations prior to itsreinstallation or operation.

(c) Repairs and alterations shall conform to the rules and regulations setforth by the Board.
