§ 44-56. Organization.

The organization of the naval militia shall be such as is prescribed for thenaval reserve, and the regulations of the United States naval reserve shallgovern like matters in the naval militia, except (1) when a member of thenaval reserve applies for enlistment, enrollment or appointment in the navalmilitia, he may be enrolled in, but not above, the rank or rating held in thenaval reserve, and the age limit shall be waived, and except (2) wherespecifically stated otherwise in this chapter.
