§ 44-61. Discipline.

The naval militia shall be subject to the system of discipline prescribed forthe United States navy and marine corps, and the naval militia officer incommand of naval militia forces on shore or on any vessel of the UnitedStates navy loaned to the Commonwealth, or any vessel on which such forcesare training, whether within or without the Commonwealth, or wherever, eitherwithin or without the Commonwealth, naval militia forces of the Commonwealthshall be assembled pursuant to orders, shall have power, without trial bycourts-martial, to impose upon members of the naval militia the punishmentswhich the commanding officer of the vessel of the navy is authorized by lawto impose.
