44-69 - Powers of punishment.

§ 44-69. Powers of punishment.

General courts-martial shall have power to impose fines not exceeding $200,to sentence to forfeiture of pay and allowances, to a reprimand, to dismissalor dishonorable discharge from the service, to reduction in rank or rating;or any 2 or more of such punishments may be combined in the sentences imposedby such courts.

Summary courts-martial shall have the same powers of punishment as generalcourts-martial, except that fines imposed by summary courts-martial shall notexceed $100.

Deck courts may impose fines not exceeding fifty dollars for any singleoffense; may sentence enlisted personnel to reduction in rank or rating, toforfeiture of pay and allowances, to a reprimand, to discharge with otherthan dishonorable discharge, or a fine in addition to any one of the othersentences specified.
