§ 45.1-161.100. Powers and duties of the Virginia Coal Mine Safety Board.

The Virginia Coal Mine Safety Board shall have the power to advise and makerecommendations to the Chief on matters relating to the health and safety ofpersons working in the Virginia coal industry. The Board shall serve as theregulatory work committee for the Department on all coal mine health andsafety regulations not under the jurisdiction of the Board of Coal MiningExaminers.
