§ 45.1-161.149. Availability of man-trips.

The operator or his agent shall maintain a man-trip or other equipmentsuitable for providing reasonable access within a reasonable time to areas ofthe mine where miners are working and where transportation is ordinarilyprovided. The suitability of the equipment, and the reasonableness of thetime required to reach such areas of the mine, shall be determined by theChief.
