§ 45.1-179.6. Duties and responsibilities of Department.

The Department shall have and is hereby given jurisdiction and authority overall persons and property, public and private, necessary to enforce theprovisions of this chapter and shall have the power and authority to make andenforce rules, regulations, and orders and do whatever may reasonably benecessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. Any such rules andregulations adopted by the Department pursuant to the provisions of thischapter shall be promulgated in compliance with the provisions of theAdministrative Process Act (Chapter 40 of Title 2.2, § 2.2-4000 et seq.).
