§ 45.1-361.4. Duties and responsibilities of the Director.

A. The Director shall have the jurisdiction and authority necessary toenforce the provisions of this chapter. The Director shall have the powerand duty to regulate gas, oil, or geophysical operations, collect fees, andperform other responsibilities as may be prescribed in regulationspromulgated by the Department or the Board.

B. The Director shall appoint the Gas and Oil Inspector.
