§ 45.1-383. Division of Geology and Mineral Resources; State Geologist.

In the Department there shall be a Division of Geology and Mineral Resources.The chief executive and head officer of the Division shall be called theCommissioner of Mineral Resources and State Geologist, hereinafter referredto as the State Geologist. The State Geologist shall be appointed by theDirector, shall be a geologist of established reputation and shall receivesuch compensation as may be provided in accordance with law for the purpose.
