§ 45.1-384. General powers and duties of State Geologist.

The State Geologist shall exercise such of the powers and perform such of theduties, in relation to mineral resources, geology and geophysical matters,which are conferred or imposed upon the Director by the provisions of thistitle, including powers and duties that involve the exercise of discretion,as may be delegated to him by the Director. The State Geologist may alsoexercise and perform such other powers and duties as may be lawfullydelegated to him, and such powers and duties as may be conferred or imposedupon him by law.
