§ 46.2-1156.1. Transportation of persons less than sixteen years old inpickup truck beds prohibited; exception.

No person under sixteen years of age shall be transported in the rear cargoarea of any pickup truck on the highways of Virginia. The provisions of thissection shall not apply to transportation of persons in the bed of any pickuptruck being operated (i) as part of an organized parade authorized by theDepartment of Transportation or the locality in which the parade is beingconducted or (ii) on or across a highway from one field or parcel of land toanother field or parcel of land in connection with farming operations.
