§ 46.2-1168. Additional registration fee.

In addition to any other fees imposed, at the time of registration the ownerof every motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer required to be registered inthis Commonwealth shall pay to the Department of Motor Vehicles one dollarand fifty cents per year of registration or, in the case of trailers andsemitrailers, such other fee as is provided in § 46.2-694.1, to be paid intothe state treasury and set aside for the payment of the administrative costsof the official motor vehicle safety inspection program as appropriated bythe General Assembly.
