46.2-1178.2 - Repair of certain vehicles not in compliance with standards established by the Board; payment of repairs from Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program Fund.
§ 46.2-1178.2. Repair of certain vehicles not in compliance with standardsestablished by the Board; payment of repairs from Vehicle EmissionsInspection Program Fund.
The Department of Environmental Quality shall operate a program to subsidizerepairs of vehicles identified by on-road testing pursuant to § 46.2-1178.1that fail to meet emissions standards established by the Board when the ownerof the vehicle is financially unable to have the vehicle repaired. The costsof implementing and operating such program shall be borne by the VehicleEmissions Inspection Program Fund. The Board shall, in connection with suchprogram, establish by regulation such standards, criteria, and procedures asthe Board shall deem necessary or convenient.
