§ 46.2-1307.1. Designation of private roads as highways for law-enforcementpurposes in Warren County.

Notwithstanding the provisions of § 46.2-1307, the governing body of WarrenCounty may adopt ordinances designating the private roads, within anyresidential development containing 50 or more lots, as highways forlaw-enforcement purposes. Such ordinance may also provide for certificationof road signs and speed limits by private licensed professional engineersusing criteria developed by the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner,and, for law-enforcement purposes, such certification shall have the sameeffect as if certified by the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner.
