§ 46.2-1512. Salesperson to have certificate of qualification.

No license shall be issued to any motor vehicle salesperson unless he holds avalid certificate of qualification issued by the Board. A certificate shallbe issued only on application to the Board, payment of the requiredapplication fee of no more than fifty dollars as determined by the Board, thesuccessful completion of an examination prepared and administered by theBoard, and other prerequisites as set forth in this section. Any individualwho is licensed as a salesperson on July 1, 1995, shall be entitled to such acertificate without examination on application to the Board made on or beforeJanuary 1, 1996.

The Board may establish minimum qualifications for applicants and requireapplicants to satisfactorily complete courses of study or other prerequisitesprior to taking the examination.
