§ 46.2-2118. Issuance, expiration, and renewal of license, permit, andcertificate.

All licenses, permits, and certificates of public convenience and necessityissued under this chapter shall be issued for a period of twelve consecutivemonths except, at the discretion of the Department, the periods may beadjusted as necessary. Such licenses, permits, and certificates shall expireif not renewed annually. Such expiration shall be effective thirty days afterthe Department has provided the licensee, permittee, or certificate holdernotice of non-renewal. If the license, permit, or certificate is renewedwithin thirty days after notice of non-renewal, then the license, permit, orcertificate shall not expire.
