46.2-378 - Extent to which reports may be used as evidence.

§ 46.2-378. Extent to which reports may be used as evidence.

No report submitted pursuant to this article shall be used as evidence in anytrial, civil or criminal, arising out of an accident, except that theDepartment shall furnish, on demand of any person who has or claims to havemade such a report, or upon demand of any court, a certificate showing that aspecified accident report has or has not been made to the Department, solelyto prove compliance or noncompliance with the requirement that the report bemade to the Department.
