§ 46.2-684.1. Insurance coverage for exempted motor vehicles.

If a motor vehicle, trailer, or semi-trailer that is exempt from motorvehicle registration requirements pursuant to this article is insured under apolicy other than a policy of motor vehicle insurance as defined in §38.2-124, such insurance policy shall not be required to comply with theprovisions of Chapter 22 (§ 38.2-2200 et seq.) of Title 38.2 of the Code ofVirginia that relate to the ownership, maintenance, or use of the exemptmotor vehicle, trailer, or semi-trailer.
