§ 46.2-746.11. Special license plates for supporters of certain aviationeducation facilities; fees.

A. On receipt of an application and payment of the fee prescribed by thissection, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates bearing thefollowing legend: NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM.

B. The annual fee for plates issued pursuant to this section shall betwenty-five dollars in addition to the prescribed fee for state licenseplates. For each such twenty-five-dollar fee collected in excess of 1,000registrations pursuant to this section, fifteen dollars shall be paid intothe state treasury and credited to the special nonreverting fund known as theAviation Education Facilities Fund, established within the Department ofAccounts, for use by the Department of Aviation to support aviation educationfacilities located in the Commonwealth that are annexes of or affiliated withsimilar national facilities located in the nation's capital.
