§ 47.1-3. Power of appointment.

The Governor may appoint in and for the Commonwealth as many notaries as tohim shall seem proper. Any person who acts as a notary in the Commonwealthshall register with and be commissioned by the Secretary of the Commonwealthand otherwise be in compliance with the provisions of this title.
