§ 5.1-154. Acquisition of airports; approval.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority created by this act is herebyauthorized, when similarly authorized by the District of Columbia, to acquirefrom the United States of America, by lease or otherwise, the two airportsknown as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington DullesInternational Airport and all related properties now administered by theMetropolitan Washington Airports, an agency of the Federal AviationAdministration of the United States Department of Transportation, but onlywith the approval of the Governor of Virginia. Subject to such gubernatorialapproval, general consent is hereby given to conditions imposed by theCongress of the United States on such acquisitions that are not inconsistentwith this act.
