§ 51.1-124.27. Employees of the Retirement System.

The officers and employees of the Virginia Retirement System shall be exemptfrom the provisions of the Virginia Personnel Act, Chapter 10 (§ 2.2-1000 etseq.) and Chapter 29 (§ 2.2-2900 et seq.) of Title 2.2. Personnel actionsshall be taken without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, religion,age, handicap or political affiliation.
