§ 51.5-64. Commissioner of Department; personnel.

The supervision of the Department shall be the responsibility of theCommissioner of the Department under the direction and control of theGovernor. The Commissioner shall be appointed by the Governor, subject toconfirmation by the General Assembly, to serve at the pleasure of theGovernor. The Commissioner of the Department shall employ such personnel asmay be required to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
