§ 52-47. Virginia Fusion Intelligence Center established.

The Governor shall establish, organize, equip, staff, and maintain amultiagency fusion intelligence center to receive and integrateterrorist-related intelligence and information. The Department of StatePolice shall operate the facility, as directed by the Governor and incooperation with the Department of Emergency Management and other such stateand local agencies and private organizations as the Governor may deemappropriate. The fusion center shall collect, analyze, disseminate, andmaintain such information to support local, state, and federallaw-enforcement agencies, and other governmental agencies and privateorganizations in preventing, preparing for, responding to, and recoveringfrom any possible or actual terrorist attack.
