§ 53.1-31.2. Notification of child support due by a prisoner.

The Department of Corrections shall cooperate with the Division of ChildSupport Enforcement to provide at regular intervals, but at least annually, alist of persons incarcerated. Upon receipt of such list, the Division shallidentify those prisoners who are the subject of a court or administrativeorder requiring them to pay child support and the amount of each prisoner'sobligation. The Division shall then inform the Department of the prisonersowing child support payments and the Department may inform the prisoner uponhis reentry the amount of his arrearage.
