§ 54.1-2402.1. Appointments, removals, and limitation of terms of members ofregulatory boards.

Except as otherwise expressly provided, members shall be appointed by theGovernor and may be removed by him as provided in subsection B of § 2.2-108.Any vacancy occurring other than by expiration of term shall be filled forthe unexpired term. Members shall hold office after expiration of their termsuntil their successors are duly appointed and have qualified.

All members of regulatory boards appointed by the Governor for termscommencing on or after July 1, 1988, shall be appointed for terms of fouryears. No members shall serve more than two successive full terms on anyregulatory board.
