§ 54.1-517.4. (Effective July 1, 2011) Exemptions from licensure.

The provisions of this article shall not apply to:

1. An individual performing mold remediation in an area in which the moldcontamination for the total project affects a total surface area of less than10 square feet; or

2. An owner or the managing agent or employee of an owner performing moldinspections or mold remediation on the owner's residential property, providedsuch property contains no more than four residential dwelling units.
