§ 54.1-924. Piloting, etc., vessel without license; how offenders proceededagainst.

No person shall conduct or pilot a vessel to or from sea, or to or from anyport or place in Virginia unless he is licensed under this chapter.

Warrants for persons violating this section may be issued by any magistrate,upon the oath of any party complaining, and shall be returnable to theCircuit Court of the City of Norfolk. After a bond hearing held pursuant toChapter 9 (§ 19.2-119 et seq.) of Title 19.2, the bond shall be returned bythe judicial officer to the circuit court of the City of Norfolk, which shallhave jurisdiction for trial of such misdemeanor.
