55-204 - When landowner, etc., entitled to the property.

§ 55-204. When landowner, etc., entitled to the property.

If the owner of such property has not then appeared and the valuation thereofbe under five dollars, or if such valuation is as much as five dollars andthe owner shall not have appeared after the certificate has been published asaforesaid and also three times in some newspaper published nearest to theplace where such property was taken up, it shall belong in either case to theowner of the land on which it was so taken, if an estray, or to the persontaking it up in the case of a boat or vessel.
