§ 55-248.51. Penalties for violation of chapter.

If the landlord acts in willful violation of §§ 55-248.43, 55-248.45,55-248.47 or § 55-248.50 or if the landlord fails to provide a written, datedlease, the tenant is entitled to recover from the landlord an amount equal tothe greater of either the tenant's monthly rental payment at the time of theviolation, or actual damages and reasonable attorney's fees.
