§ 55-104. Lien of subsequent purchaser for purchase money paid before notice.

As against any person claiming under the deed or other writing which shallnot have been admitted to record before payment by a subsequent purchaser forvaluable consideration of the whole or a part of his purchase money, suchsubsequent purchaser, notwithstanding such deed or other writing be admittedto record before he becomes a complete purchaser, shall, in equity, have alien on the property purchased by him, for so much of his purchase money ashe may have paid before notice.
