§ 55-120. Acknowledgments on behalf of corporations and others.

When any writing purports to have been signed in behalf or by authority ofany person or corporation, or in any representative capacity whatsoever, thecertificate of the acknowledgment by the person so signing the writing shallbe sufficient for the purposes of this and §§ 55-106, 55-113, 55-114, and55-115, and for the admission of such writing to record as to the person orcorporation on whose behalf it is signed, or as to the representativecharacter of the person so signing the same, as the case may be, withoutexpressing that such acknowledgment was in behalf or by authority of suchother person or corporation or was in a representative capacity. In the caseof a writing signed in behalf or by authority of any person or corporation orin any representative capacity a certificate to the following effect shall besufficient:

State (or territory or district) of . . . . . . . . . , county (orcorporation) of . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . , to wit: I, . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . , a . . . . . . . . (here insert the official title of theperson certifying the acknowledgment) in and for the State (or territory ordistrict) and county (or corporation) aforesaid, do certify that . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . (here insert the name or names of the personssigning the writing on behalf of the person or corporation, or the name ofthe person signing the writing in a representative capacity), whose name (ornames) is (or are) signed to the writing above, bearing date on the . . . . .. . . day of . . . . . . . . . . , has (or have) acknowledged the same beforeme in my county (or corporation) aforesaid.
