§ 55-135. Deeds defectively executed by corporation.

Any deed of conveyance of real estate executed in Virginia prior to July 1,1995, by a corporation of this Commonwealth, when the certificate ofacknowledgment of such deed fails to state the representative capacity of theparty signing the same for the corporation, shall be held and the same ishereby declared a valid and effective conveyance in every respect, ifotherwise valid according to the law in force at the time the deed wasexecuted, if such corporation, since making such conveyance has beendissolved or otherwise gone out of existence.
