§ 58.1-4007.2. Lottery tickets not to be sold over Internet.

A. The Department shall not sell lottery tickets or shares directly toconsumers over the Internet.

B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit (i) the use of theInternet to relay information or data relating to sales made to purchasers bylicensed sales agents, their employees, or employees of the Department or(ii) the sale by the Department of prepaid subscriptions for the purchase oflottery tickets or shares for subsequent prize drawings.
