§ 58.1-4014. Price of tickets or shares; who may sell; penalty.

No person shall sell a ticket or share at any price or at any location otherthan that fixed by rules and regulations of the Department. No person otherthan a licensed lottery sales agent or his employee shall sell lotterytickets or shares, except that nothing in this section shall be construed toprevent any person from giving lottery tickets or shares to another personover the age of 18 years as a gift.

Any person convicted of violating this section shall be guilty of a Class 1misdemeanor.
