§ 59.1-401. Possessing drugs.

The possession or transportation of any drug except those permitted byregulations of the Commission within the racing enclosure is prohibitedexcept upon a bona fide veterinarian's prescription with complete statementof uses and purposes on the container. A copy of such prescription shall befiled with the stewards. Any person knowingly violating the provisions ofthis section relating to the legal possession of drugs shall be guilty of aClass 1 misdemeanor. The provisions of the Drug Control Act (§ 54.1-3400 etseq.) shall apply in situations where drugs regulated by that Act are withinthe racing enclosure.
