§ 59.1-484. Construction and application.

This chapter shall be construed and applied to:

(1) Facilitate electronic transactions consistent with other applicable law;

(2) Be consistent with reasonable practices concerning electronictransactions and with the continued expansion of those practices; and

(3) Effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect tothe subject of this chapter among states enacting it.
