§ 6.1-225.22. (Repealed effective October 1, 2010) Amendment of powers byCommission.

In addition to the powers specifically granted to credit unions by theprovisions of this chapter, the Commission may by appropriate regulationamend the powers of state credit unions so as to allow them to have powers atleast comparable to those granted to federal credit unions engaged inbusiness in this Commonwealth or to effect the purposes of this chapter.Such regulations shall be effective upon their adoption, and shall continuein effect until amended or revoked by the Commission or superseded by actionof the General Assembly of Virginia. The requirement of a public hearingshall not automatically apply to regulations promulgated under this section,but the Commission may hold such a hearing as it deems appropriate.
