§ 6.1-225.64. (Repealed effective October 1, 2010) Making or circulatingderogatory statements affecting credit unions.

Any person who willfully and maliciously makes, circulates, or transmits toanother or others any statement or rumor, written, printed or by word ofmouth, which is untrue in facts and is directly or by inference derogatory tothe financial condition or affects the solvency or financial standing of anycredit union doing business in this Commonwealth, or who knowingly counsels,aids, procures, or induces another to start, transmit, or circulate any suchstatement or rumor, shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
