§ 6.1-330.49. (Repealed effective October 1, 2010) Definitions.

As used in this chapter, unless the context indicates some other meaning:

"Bank" shall mean any national bank, any bank organized under Chapter 2 (§6.1-3 et seq.) of this title or any bank incorporated and organized under thelaws of another state or territory of the United States, or the District ofColumbia.

"Credit union" shall mean any credit union organized under Chapter 4.01 (§6.1-225.1 et seq.) of this title or any credit union incorporated andorganized under the laws of another state. "Credit union" shall not includewithin its meaning federal credit unions.

"Entity" shall mean any association, corporation, partnership, firm,company, trust, estate or joint venture.

"Loan" means a loan or forbearance of money.

"Person" shall include an individual or an entity.

"Savings institution" shall mean any savings institution, as defined in §6.1-194.2, incorporated and organized under the laws of the United States,the Commonwealth, another state or territory of the United States, or theDistrict of Columbia.
